ASPARAGUS SPRENGERI. First introduced in 1896, this beautiful plant has fully established its worth and jjopularity. There is nothing handsomer for a hanging basket, with its drooping feathery sprays of emerald green, growing to a length of from two to eight feet, and for bouquets, wreaths or other decorating it far surpasses any other Asparagus. It keeps for weeks after cutting. In a single year, its growth is so rapid, the long beautiful sprays will number close upon a hundred. Flowers white, followed by red berries. Greenhouse perennial. Pkt., 10 10 cts. ARABIS ALPINA. A hardy perennial, especially welcome, be- cause it comes among the earliest spring flowers. Its mass of pure white flowers makes a pleasing contrast to tne more brilliant colors of the peren- nial bed. Pkt., 150 seeds, 4 cts. ASPARAGUS VERTICILLATUS. Ladies who arrange cut flowers or do much deco- rating often lack plenty of green. With its fine feath- ery foliage, this is invaluable for this purpose, and with its bright scarlet berries it also makes a fine show anywhere. Ten feet. Perennial. Pkt., 10 seeds, 6 cts. ASTERS. NEW GIANT COMET ASTER. Semi-dwarf, with ex- tremely beautiful flowers, their narrow, recurved and twisted petals giving them a resemblance to the large-flowered Japanese Chrysanthemums. It is among the earlier flower- ing varieties and splendid for cutting. No Aster bed is complete without it. The colors are all light shades and very pleasing to the eye. Mixed. Pkt., 75 seeds, 5 cts.; triple pt., 225 seeds, 12 cts. DWARF CHRYSAN- THEMUM ASTER. In size of flowers and habit of growth, no dwarf variety is more desirable. The flowers are large, chrysanthemum - shaped, and produced in clusters of fifteen to twenty, or even more, in a truss, each plant forming in .itself a beautiful bouquet. It will be found very useful for edgings, beds and for pot culture. Mixed. Pkt., 75 seeds, 4 cts.; triple pkt., 225 seeds, 8 cts. JEWEL, OR BALL ASTER. This variety is some- what after Paeony Per- fection type. Plants are tall and much branched, and great bloomers. None handsomer for cutting. Mixed. Pkt., '^^ c,=^^a. 5 cts.
