Summary
[edit]DescriptionChippermore Heughs - geograph.org.uk - 657729.jpg |
English: Chippermore Heughs "Heughs" is the Galloway name for the huge raised beach which runs parallel to the shoreline of Luce Bay. They were formed at the edge of the ice sheet where it met the sea, by a combination of fluctuating sea levels and land rebounding upwards as it was relieved of the weight of the ice as it melted. |
