Summary

[edit]
Description A bridge spans a river in China. It's been so many years since I was there that at this point I'm not exactly sure where we were. We traveled from Cancun to Beijing, making a side trip along the way to see (and climb) the Huang Shan Mountains. We never made it to the top, on which a monestery sits, because the snow and ice were too difficult to navigate. It was the Chinese who kept telling us, "Go back, go back." An elderly man helped me back down, though I was only in my twenties. The next day my legs were so badly cramped, I could barely move--and only then with great pain.
