Español: Chimenea de la antigua fábrica de electricidad Fiat Lux, en Málaga, España, vista desde la calle Ollerías a través de la calle Los Cristos. La fábrica de electricidad era en realidad una central térmica conocida como central térmica La Purificación, que se encontraba entre las calles Purificación, Wad Ras, Don Rodrigo y Álvarez, en el barrio malagueño de La Goleta. Tenía una capacidad de 1200 caballos de vapor y durante años fue la más importante de Andalucía (Santiago Ramos, A., Bonilla Estévanez, I., y Guzmán Valdivia, A. Cien años de historia de las fábricas malagueñas (1830-1930). Málaga: Acento Andaluz, 2001, p. 359). La fábrica comenzó a construirse a finales de 1897 y la compañía estuvo operativa hasta 1920 (Alarcón de Porras, E. Historia de la electricidad en Málaga. Málaga: Sarriá, 2000, p. 32). |
