Text Appearing After Image:
DIANTHUS Like its near relative, the Carnation, the Dianthus is superlatively beautiful, many varieties possessing a radiant-like fire that is impossible to describe, but it is the very acme of richness in beauty. A grand flower for cutting or flower work. So early either in the house or open ground, and plants will not only bloom all summer and fall, but will survive the winter and bloom the next season. PerPkt. Diadematus flora plena (191)—Splendid double flow- ers of the richest, darkest shades, fringed, mottled striped, spotted, flaked, margined, etc., in a most beautiful manner 10 Snowball, Double White (192)—Fine; like Carnation.10 Eastern Queen (193)—Grand flowers three or four inches across, beautifully striped and shaded.... 5 Fireball (194)-—New)—Very large and double, equal to the best Carnations. Rich dark scarlet. Superb. 10 NobiJis (195)—Royal Pinks)—These are free, luxur- iant growers with dark robust foliage and very large flowers of many rich and various colors; they are perfectly magnificent in every way. Colors mixed 10 Imperialis (196)—Double Imperial Pinks. Robust, bushy growers, bearing great quantities of large, double flowers of rich, glowing colors 5 Mixed (197)—Our own mixture of the most beautiful double and single sorts and of every desirable shade. Will give a bed of beautiful flowers, scarcely two alike 10 DIANTHUS DAISY, SHASTA HYDRIDS These new Hybrids are immense, beautiful and abund- ant bloomers in every way. Some with large flat petals, others quilled or twisted, showing all the esthetic beauty of Cactus Dahlias. Some will also be quite double. Shasta Daisy Hybrids (198) io EUPHORBIA Heterophylla (216 —Called "Painted Leaf," or "Fire- on-the-Mountain." Sow early under glass or in the open ground in May. By August the leaves on the tops of the branches will begin to turn scarlet and in a short time the whole plant will present a> dazzling array of scarlet and green 10 Snow-on-the-Mountain (-217)—Like the above but with snow-white leaves or bracts instead of scarlet. 5
