NEW AMARYLLIS The Amaryllis is t&e acknowledged queen of all bulb- ous flowers—and Burbank's Giants are marvels in beauty. Burbank's Giant—This new race of Amaryllis produces a bulb of enormous size and strength which throws up broad, healthy foiage, and stout flower scapes, each producing blossoms of truly gigantic size. The flowers are often a foot or more across, larger than the Aura- tum Lily, and with colors, which for purity and in- tensity are truly marvels. Their great superiority over all other Amaryllis is acknowledged. We are now of- fering for the first time eight named sorts. Large bulbs of all colors, 80c each; $3.00 per doz. Elite—Enormous white flower with scarlet veins. Very distinct and very beautiful. $3.00 each. Newport—Glistening crimson. Enormous flat flower. Velvety sheen. Five petals striped slightly white at base. Dark foliage. 55.00 each. Morning Star—Light crimson, nearly one-half covered with white. Wavy petals. Flowers 7 to 8 inches across. Earliest to bloom. $5.00 each. Snow Cloud—Yellowish white when first opening, turn- ing white with age. Very slightly feathered crimson. Silvery glint like head work in sunlight. Enormous flower over nine inches across. Three of the petals four inches wide. Foliage light green. Extremely vigorous plant. Free bloomer. $10.00 each. Wellesley—Scarlet-crimson; rainbow featherings of darker crimson. Small greenish-white band at base of each petal. Flower seven inches across. $5.00 each. Santa Rosa—Variously shaded, veined, feathered and lined crimson and white. Broad white band reaching to tip of petals. Yellowish green tinge at base of the broad regular petals. Flat flower. Broad light green roliage. Four to five flowers to a stalk. Flowers eight to nine inches across. 8 5.00 each. Atlantic—Fiery crimson, almost scarlet, with orange tint; lightly shaded at base of petals with greenish-white and crimson. Goldstone-like glisten. Large, strong, heavy stalk. Long strong light foliage. Four flowers to a stalk. Flowers 7% inches across. $5.00 each. Contrast—Light crimson, lined and shaded darker crim- son, with broad bands and featherings of snowy white. Broad petals; flat, wide open flower. Foliage extremely short, flowers six to eight inches across. $10.00 each. OTHER RARE AMARYLLIS Vittata Hybrids—Large flowers, fine colors and profuse flowering. Manv of them bloom several times a year. 40c each; 3 for $1.00; 7 for $2.00. Johnsonii—A grand old sort, always popular. Flowers large and very beautiful, deep red, striped white. 40c. Solandriaeflora—Magnificent large perfect blossoms, of many delicate shades mingled together, white, rose, pink, etc. $1.00 each. Valotta Purpurea—A well known and highly-prized bulb (of the Amaryllis family) for pot culture, producing very rich clusters of most beautiful and brilliant flowers. Light scarlet. A glorious thing; has lately be- come exceedingly scarce. Fine, large bulbs, 7 5c each. Yellow Amaryllis—This is Zephyranthes Sulphurea, large beautiful yellow. 25c.
