Pepper, No trouble whatever to grow. Useful for culinary pur- roses, ornamental as pot plants and useful in many ways. Giant ExcelsiorâA cross between the Chinese Giant and Ruby King, not so large as the former but larger than the latter. It is the earliest of Peppers, and outgrows other kinds. Growth exceedingly vigorous, and each plant produces from 17 to 20 mammoth sized peppers. Better keeper than Euby King. Half hot. The most valuable market Penner yet introduced, selling quickly at fancy prices. Pkt., ioc; oz., 30c; lb., $3.00. Childs' Celestial ImprovedâA well-grown plant will show peppers in every stage of growth, and in three or four different colors, according to the stage of ripeness, creamy white, pink and vivid scarlet, all on the bush to- gether, a most novel and wonderful sight. Beautiful pot plants: in fact few pot plants make such an attractive show as docs this Pepper when in full bearing. It is per- fectly charming, showins: such quantities of fruit of so many different colors. Pkt., 10c; oz., 50e.; lb., $2.00. Childs' KaleidoscopeâOne of these Pepper plants, with its ⢠iark green leaves, and hanging full of charming pink, yollow, rose and red fruits, is exceedingly beautiful. It is ⢠â normously prolific, plants branching freely and weep- ing with their load of jewel-like fruit. Pkt-, 5c; oz., 20c. Ruby King:âThe beautiful plants are crowded with large, handsome fruit of a bright ruby-red color, which grow four to six inches long by three to four inches through. They are remarkably mild and pleasant to the taste. Thev can even be sliced and eaten with vinegar like Tomatoes or Cucumbers. Pkt., 6c: oz., 15c Chinese MammothâA grand sweet sort, bearing enormou- rleep crimson peppers, as large as big turnips. Brings in market double the price of others. Pkt., 10c.: oz., 75c. Ruby SweetâThis splendid pepper originated with us several years ago. It is so sweet and palatable that it may be eaten from tho hand like a Radish. Cut into strips and cooked with meat or stews it is simply great. In mild and delicate flavor we know no other sort like it. Pkt., IOC: 3for25c. G PC S S.â(Peppergrass.) Extra CurledâAn appetizing relish, of fresh, piquant taste, often added to lettuce and other fresh salads for variety. Splendid for canaries, who are very partial to it, and keep healthier for its use. Very easy to srrow, and can be sown in any little nook or vacant spot. Pkt., 5c.: oz., 10c; lb., 5oc. Water CressâGrown in moist, wet places, or at the edge of running streams. Increases rapidly, is very hardy, and as it is of an evergreen nature can be used all winter. A salad bowl heaped full of this Cress, of dark green leaves, is a pretty sight in January. Pkt., 10c; oz., 35c UplandâA perennial Water Cress for garden culture, ready for use in earliest spring. Pkt., 10c.
