Beet The sweet, tender roots of Beets are very fine for su rnmer, fall and winter use, while the tops are very useful for greens. Vinegar in which Beets have been pickled is often used to pickle hard-boiled eggs, as it gives them a beautiful color and pleasing flavor. When young and tender, Beets are most delicious if boiled or steamed until tender, then sliced or chopped into small pieees and seasoned with butter, etc. Edmand's Blood Turnip— This is winning golden opinions everywhere. Smooth, round shaped, exceedingly sweet and tender, and never coarse, tough or stringy. Very early, remains in good condition for a long time. An extra fine market sort. Pkt, 5c.; oz.. ioc; lb., §1.25. Eclipse—A very early Beet of beautiful dark, rich color and smooth, round shape. Quality of the best- Our strain is pure. Pkt., 5c.; oz., 10c; lb.. $1.25. Mangel Wurzel Beets* These giant Beets are grown mainly for stock feeding, and they produce enormous crops.
