A BED OF TALL ASTERS, BOEEERED WITH DWAF.F VARIETIES Per pkt Dwarf Victoria, Mixed Colors—Equally good for bed- ding, pots or exhibition. Plant? one foot in height, the foliage almost hidden by the plumy flowers, three or four inches in diameter, of the most beautiful form and the most exquisite colors to be found — 10 Quilled German—Plants tall and brahching.flowers beau- tifully quilled, and noted for the clearness of their colors. Profuse bloomers. Mixed colors 5 New Rose—Tall sorts about two feet in height. One of the very best varieties, and a profuse bloomer. Outer petals are full recurved and inner petals beautifully incurved and imbricated like the Kose. Mixed colors.10 Trauffattt's Peony-Flowered—A valuable and standard variety. The most perfect Peony type known. Tall growing, and bearing an enormous quantity of extra large double flowers beautifully incurved and of every shade from pure white to glowing crimson 5 Pink Branching—A beautiful variety of the large branch- ing type, with large flowers, the color of a bright Day- break Carnation. Stems long and stiff. A grand Aster for cutting purposes, and for vase or decorative pur- poses of any kind it is unexcelled. Its color is simply superb and the flowers large and very full and double.10 Upright White—We consider this one of our very best Asters, and offer a very select strain of seed. The flow- ers are great balls of mammoth size, pure white in qolor, and produced on long, upright stems two feet or more in length. In every way a first-class variety 10 Hohensollern White-The plant grows tall and branch- ing, bearing flowers of mammoth size on long stems. We have cut many flowers on stems measuring from eighteen to twenty-four inches in length. The flowers are of the purest white, measuring from six to eight inches across: are double, with curled petals, resem- bling a Japanese Chrysanthemum. A great improve- ment both in size and form of flowers. Florists use it freely as a cut-flower with great satisfaction- 10 Favorite—A lovely Aster the flowe rs of which change daily from one delicate shade to another. The plant is a very neat, symmetrical grower, growing about eighteen inches high, bearing one large bloom of beautiful form on each stem. The color is blush upon opening chang- ing daily until it is a rich deep pink. Each plant shows flowers of a different shade, and is most attractive. A beautiful Aster that will please. — 10 Japanese—New Asters of great size and beauty, like Jap- anese Chrysanthemums. They are of immense size, measuring from five to six inches across, with long petals curiously waved and curled, so as to give them a striking resemblance to the Chrysanthemum. It is a vigorous growing plant, fourteen or fifteen inches high, well branched, and producing quite a number of these enormous flowers 10 Vick's Branching, Pnre White—A strong grower, of branching habit, and continues to grow and bloom later in the season than any other variety. The flowers are very large, often four inches in diameter, borne on long stems, adding greatly to their value for vases and bunches. The petals are more or less twisted or curled in such a manner as to give the blooms the appearance of large, graceful Chrvsanthemums. Fine for cutting.10 Vick's Branching, Mixed Colors-Like the above, but of several different colors —10 Pnrity—A fine, strong-growing Aster which branches fme- lv and bears its great perfect snow-white blossoms on long, stout stems. As a cut-flower variety, and for a perfect white Aster, it has no superior. Habit sym- metrical. 18 inches high and literally a mass of large snow-white blossoms. A most fitting companion to _ A.m6r)Cci ... ..••r....... 15 Washington—Fine exhibition sort A tall grower of pyra- midal habit The largest-flowered Aster on the list; fine form and splendid colors. Mixed colors............ 5 Dwarf Bouquet—Very compact, but six to eight inches high, a mass of flowers from bottom to top.. Mixed.... 5 Shakespeare—Dwarf variety, six inches m height. Novel shades of coloring, large globular flowers, and very floriferous. Each plant looks like a unique little bou- auet set in the ground, so compact and crowded with blossoms. The cut shows their habit to good advan- tage. Fine for bordering a bed of tall sorts 5 Mixed ^sters< A bed of mixed Asters, all kinds, colors and varieties, is certainly attractive. We offer mixtures of both dwarf and tall-growing sorts separate. Mixed Tall-Growing Asters—All sorts and colors ; will make an interesting and attractive bed. Large packet.20 Mixed Dwarf Asters—All the low-growing sorts 15 One packet of each/or SOc.
