Pop Gorr>. SWEET COW, GOLDEN BANTAM. Here's something for the boys and girls! Did you ever see a youngster that did not enjoy popping corn, and watch- ing the hard kernels burst suddenly out into balls of white, light as a feather, and deliciously crisp and toothsome ? Give every boy and girl a row of Pop Corn for his or her own. The sweet little misses like the pretty sorts, the boys like those that bear the most. Then with nuts and apples, games to play and corn to pop, our little folks will pass the long winter evenings with mirth and happiness at home, rather than on the streets. The following sorts are mostly new and of greatly improved quality. California Golden—Beautiful little golden ears but two or three inches long, and crowded with little pointed grains that pop out la~ge, light and snowy-white. Often used for Christmas decoration, both the little golden ears and the white popped corn strung on long strings for fes- tooning. The plant is very dwarf and productive. Pkt. lOc.: pint, 50c _t Mapledale Prolific—This is the Pop Corn for profit- The stalks bear the almost incredible number of 8 to 10 ears to each stalk, while the quality is very fine. Pkt-, lOc.; pint, 4nc; quart, 75c, , . , Golden Tom Thumb—This Pop Corn grows only 18 inches high, and the dainty little ears are only two inches long, with smooth, golden-yellow kernels in regular rows. This little tov coi n is not only very pretty, but it pops beautifullv white and large, and is very crisp and tender. Its compact growth fits it for city or village lots, where land is reckoned bv the foot, not by the acre. Golden Tom Thumb grows quickly and ripens its crop by the first of August, allowing the same ground to be used for celery, turnips, etc Pkt., 10c New Striped—A fancy variety, very showy,whi!e its quality is of the very best. Rather large ears, filled out with clear transparent white kernels,beautifully striped with bright crimson. An early and productive variety and one of great beauty. Fine for selling in the market.
