SPRING CATALOGUE OF SEEDS BULBS AND PLANTS FOR 1907. 49 gridal Veil. Genista Monosperma. A hard-wooded plant suitable for pot cul- ture, or it may be grown in the open ground in anv latitude south ot New York, and will grow'from three to six feet high according to accommodations given it. This odd plant has no leaves butpro- duces long, graceful, needle-like green branches which droop m â¢copious musses like drapery. It has several blooming periods each year at which time every stein and branch robes itself in â clusters of charming snow-white blossoms, the whole drooping in »in exquisite wavy mass, !jn<i_is appropriately called the ' Bridal "Veil." Our cut is from a photo- gtaph.butit is impossible to give an adequate impression of the beauty and profusion of a flow- ering plant. The fragrance of the flower is the richest and moot pleasing to be found and a blooming spray cut and dried -will retain its delicious fra- grance for years, and will impartv to a drawer of linen a fragrance â¢which no perfumer can imitate or equal. As a pot or tub plant â it is as easily grown as an Olean- der or Hydrangea and will suc- ceed anywhere in open ground â¢where the winters are not too severe. ( SeedâPer packet of 6 seeds,20c Shower of GoldâAs a plant for late winter and early spring blooming (especial- ly for Easter,) it is almost without an equal.
