ine favorite of to-day, as it was fifty years ago. Luxuri- ous foliaged plants, with magnificent, double incurved flow- ers of enormous size and rich colorings. Nothing can sur- pass the intensity of the dark varieties that fairly glow with a radiant fire of richness, while the white and pale varieties are very soft and delicate in their coloring. New Ciant—Like an enormous double Bose, of a blush, al- most white color: a Pseony which grows 3 to i feet high, and bears flowers nearly as large as a man's hat; the flower is the same shape, fragrance, and exquisite satin- like pink color as Baroness Bothschild Bose. It is beau- tiful beyond description. Fine roots, 25c. each; 3 for 60c. Fragrans—Deep crimson-pink, double and very sweet. 20c. Double White- Pure white, very scarce. 40c. each. Humulis Single—Large, purple-rose; very early. 25c. each. Officinalis fl. pi.—ThegraDd early-flowering, old-fashioned double crimson Paeony. 25c each. One each of the 5 sorts for $1.00. Day Ixilies.—(Funkias,) Large White- Pure in color as the driven snow, as smooth in texture as though cut from sheeted wax, all its snowy trumpets exhaling sweet fragrance, no sweeter, lovelier or more perfect flower can be grown. Perfectly hardy, and easy to grow. Blooms continuously from August until frost, producing scores and even hundreds of its large Lilies. Handsome light green foliage. 30c. each. Variegated Leaved—Leaves as handsome as a flower. A rosette-cluster of almost white leaves, lightly striped with green and yellow. Flowers pretty pale lilac-blue on tall spikes. Fine also for pots. Altogether this is one of the very finest (certainly one of the most attractive and orna- mental) of all hardy plants. 20c. each; 3 for 50e. (Jenjerocallis. Hardv, robust plants, producing great quantities of mag- nificent, large, fragrant. Lily-like blossoms all summer. Flava—If everyone does not know the Lemon Lily.they ought to, for it comprises in one plant entire hardiness, profu- sion and beautiful and fragrant bloom. Last summer we counted 868 buds and full blown blooms on a medium- sized specimen atone time. The clear yellow, Lily-like flowers are borne on long, stiff stalks, making them su- perior flowers for large vases or for pulpit bouquets. Dumortleri—Profuse, orange-vellow, bright.rich and showy. Kowiensis fl. pi.—Large double blossoms on tall stems. Price. 20c. each; $1.25 per dozen; the S for 50c.
