These are the finest things for hanging pots or baskets and are indispensable among window plants. Nothing is more elegant and beautiful in a bay window than a few pots of elegant foliage trailers like Crassula, Parrot's Feather and Nepeta, or blooming plants such as KusseIlia and Lantana. Nepeta, Ciechoma—This new Nepeta is hardy, fragrant and pretty, its small, round leaves finely marked with white. Tery fine for hanging baskets, standing any abuse and looking cheerful under it. One of the prettiest things in the world with which to carpet graves, as it roots wherever it touches the ground and forms an impenetrable net work of vines through which weeds and grass cannot creep. It will grow in any kind of soil, in sun or shade, ever a mass of green and white. Russellia, Crandiflora—This plant has long, wiry stems which grow in graceful, drooping masses. On these stems are, borne quantities of long, tubular flowers of the most vivid scarlet color, something like a Manettia bloom, but more numerous. It is a novel and beautiful plant, suitable either for beds in summer or pot culture. In pots it blooms the entire year, especially during the winter. The great drooping masses of bloom are like a fountain of coral, scarlet and green. In any climate it is one of the very easiest of all plants to grow, and cer- tainly one of the most brilliant and persistent bloomers. Crassula, Trailing—No trailing plant can be more lovely than this beautiful succulent. Leaves thick and heavy, closely placed about the stems, which are long and droop and curve beautifully. Exceedingly odd. Parrot's Feather—A lovely, mossy plant, with long, trail- ing stems covered with plumy, feathery foliage of the freshest, loveliest green imaginable. Is fine for aqua- riums, where few plants do well, and makes the water much more healthful for the fish. Grows nicely also -m water tubs or ornamental pools, and is much admired when grown in hanging pots or baskets of soil. It grows as well in soil as in water, if it is kept well watered. It is one of the most charming trailing and drooping plants, and grows so rapidly that it can be cut freely. Weeping Lantana—This new trailing plant is a real beauty and highly desirable for bracket pots and hanging baskets. The slender trailing growth, and abundance of rich blossoms making it a plant of peculiar beauty. Color, fine lilac, very fragrant, graceful, and easily grown in any situation. Lily of the Valley Plant—A splendid trailer. See page 105 for illustration. Price of above fine traiWig plants 15c. each; the 6 for 60c; or more atioc. each.
