Guilds' NeW Giaijt ploWcred perfection G^^piai^s. • «. T),iese Geraniums are in their way most remarkable Novelties, for they show great improvement over sorts previously introduced, in habit, vigor, size and quality of bloom and radiant coloring. For several years they have been the admira- tion ol.all who ha ye visited our conservatories. They were offered 2 vears ago for the first, after years of critical test, and we know just what they are. They have been carefully compared with the best new sorts, of recent years, and in every point they show their superiority. Habit, compact, with large healthy foliage. Flowers perfect in shape, round, and sometimes beautifully cupped. Trusses immense and the Blooming qualities of the plant truly wonderful. But in color they are per- fect marvels, showing combinations and brightness of tints hitherto unknown. The spotted or speckled varieties are very novel and extremely attractive. Such worthy novelties and so many of them we think should bear the names of different States, and we have named them accordingly. Maine-Pure Ayhite. slightly tinged pink. Large flower and magnificent truss. Virginia—Large, extra fine, salmon-pink. A fine shade. Massachusetts—Extraordinary size and beautifully color- ed. Exquisite pure pink with white ray*d center, freely spotted or speckled, ndiana—Pale lilac-pink, slightly spotted. beautiful form. California—Salmon-pink, white center crimson-scarlet. Very rich. Pennsylvania—Pure snow white: best of its color. OhioTFlowers like a Pelargonium. Deep blood scarlet, yeined black ; upper petals rayed intense orange-scarlet. Largest known size. Kansas — Intense orange-scarlet, each petal beautifully veined with a dark color. New York—Enormous clusters of great substance: beauti- ful round flowers. Soft pink; perfectly exquisite. Oregon—Flowers very large and perfectly magnificent. Orange-scarlet clouded and mottled with pure white. Missouri--Good flower of peculiar color, being scarlet freely mottled with grey. Quite distinct, Minnesota—Enormous, crinkled. Pelargonium-like bios- Large size and beautiful velvety soms of loveliest light rosy scarlet with white eye. Very distinct and extra fine. Tennessee—Extra large, round perfect shape, bright crim- son pink. One of the very best. Colorado—White, tinted violet-pink. A shade so delicate and shifting as to be perfectly exquisite, and has been appropriately called "Shifting Shades." New Jersey—White, tinted, veineu and spotted. Connecticut—Enormous flower, often measuring 2% inches across. Leaves gigantic in size with eonspicious dark zone. Color intense scarlet. . Washington—Very curious, clusters of bloom branching, that is, 2 or 3 additional clusters will grow out of each main cluster. Color fine pink freely spotted. Florida - Enormous flower and foliage.
