\; H 1RTU Otaheite Orange—An extra fine pot plant,with glossy leaves, the true fragrant orange blooms and abundant little bright oranges that will hang on the little bush like balls of gold for six months after they are ripe. They will bloom and fruit in a two-ineh pot; and we have seen a plant in a common window, that was but 15 inches high, and had 23 oranges on it. With good sunlight they are never out of fruit from one year's end to another, and at least two- thirds of the time are in flower also. The fruit is very sweet and handsome. Could we have but one plant in our window it would be an Otaheite Orange. In beauty, grace and fragrance there is nothing liIce its delicate,leafy sprays of bloom, so indescribable, exquisite, dainty, lovely and adorable. Fine plants for blooming and fruiting at once. 20c. each ; 3 for 50e.; extra large 40. Wonder Lemon—A lemon that can be as easily grown in a pot as a Geranium and which produces fruit weighing from one to three pounds each. These enormous fruits are borne on plants one to two feet high, growing in 5 to g- inch pots. It is everbearing anil its fruit is delicious for lemonade and culinary purposes. It makes a beautiful specimen plant for the house. Has large, deep green leaves and pure, waxy-like flowers that are fragrant as orange blossoms. The enormous lemons have a thin rind and are full of acid juice. The trees require no graf- ting or budding, and we guarantee every tree to produce the same large fruit. Will thrive in any good soil, either indoors or out, A fitting companion to the Otaheite Orange, and one of the grandest new pot plants ever in- troduced. Strong well established plant. 20c. each: 3 for 50c. Tropical Fruits f°r Pots. These ma*ke the most novel and interesting pot or tub plants* and are the easiest of all pot plants to grow. Many are handsome in foliage, in blossoms, and all showy, interesting and luscious in fruit. The most of them fruit the greater part of the year. Grow ing\the beautiful and rare fruits in pots opens up a new field in plant culture which is rich in interest and pleasure. Strawberry Cuava—A beautiful pot plant, with shining ever- green foliage that resembles Camellia leaves, and hand- some fruit nearly the size of a walnut, and a fine straw- berry-like flavor. The fruit makes the finest and most nutritious jelly that there is and blooms and fruits con- tinuously the year round. It must be considered as use- ful as ornamental. A very heavy bearer, and the fruit is very handsome. 20c. each; 3 for 50c. Fig, Hirtu Du Japan—This notable variety imported from Japan deserves high praise and general introduction. It is of compact, hardy growth. Indeed, it is a dwarf Fig, making little wood. Its immense load of fruit is astonish- ing, and it is nearer a perpetual bearer than any other. The purple Figs are of medium size. The flesh is white, but with brown specks of imperfect seeds and cream tin- ted heart. For the South this is one of the best varieties for the garden, viel.ling twice as much fruit to a given surface as any other variety. The ideal Fig for pot cul- ture in the North. 40c. each ; 3 for $1.00. Melon Pear, or Pepino — A rapid-growing dark-leaved plant, blooming when quite small. The fruit is the size and shape of a goose egg. and is very handsome: in color a pale lemon mottled with waves of bright violet. Inside the fruit resembles a pear, and tastes somewhat like a banana, but is much sweeter and jucier. Very ornamen- tal when in flower and fruit. An elegant pot plant; also fine for the garden. 20c. each: 3 for 50c.: 7 for $1.00. Banana Orinoco—This is a superb plant both in foliage and fruit. One of the finest Bananas for pot culture, and fruits splendidly. Grand for bedding out in summer, or for conservatorv or warm window decorations. Can be kept unwatered in a cellar over winter, if there is no room for it in the window. 30c. each; 3 for 75c.
