Text Appearing Before Image:
46 JOHN LEWIS CHILDS, FLORAL PARK, QUEENS CO. N. Y. Guilds' JeWeL The Rose of Many Colors. Flowers of Various Colors Borne on the Same Plant at the Same Time. The most remarkable Rose in cultivation, as well as the most novel and beautiful one. Child's' Jewel produces flowers which range in color from dark orange-yellow to crimson, variegated, blotched, mottled, etc. A plant in bloom shows no two flowers alike. Some will be dark yellow; others light yellow, buff, saffron, light and dark crimson, pink blush, apricot, etc.; while others will be variegated in a most beautiful manner. As may well be im- agined, the sight which such a plant in bloom presents is a novel and beautiful one. It is a pure Tea Rose, the flower being large, delightful- ly fragrant, and in both bud and blossom exquis- itely beautiful. It is a free grower and a profuse bloomer, especially in the open ground. As a Rose novelty this is the most remarkable ever introduced, and as may well be imagined creates a sensation wherever seen, and sells readily at two and three dollars each when in bloom. Strong, healthy plants, for blooming at once, 25c. each; 3 for 60c.
Text Appearing After Image:
Moss Hoses, COc. each; the 5 for 80c. The Moss Rose is the acknowledged queen of all Roses. The moss-covered stems and buds show off the delicate loveliness of the blossom to great advan- tage. They are perfectly hardy in any location, and should be found in every garden. Blanche Moreau—Called perpetual, as it blooms more or less all the season. Pure white. Princess Adelaide—Lovely bright pink. Countess Murlnals—Large pure white. Henry Martin—Fine clear rose. W. N. Cranston—New; bright crimson-scarlet. NeW Rose Wtyite perle des Jardins. All know the great beauty and value of Perle des Jardins. One of the very finest yellow everbloom- ers, excelled only by Marshal Neil; but all do not know that there is a pure white variety of it, a genuine sport from Perle des Jardins. It is exactly lifce that superb sort in every respect except color4 which is a pure snow white. One cannot imagine a more lovely rose. 20c. each; 3 for 50c.
