Text Appearing Before Image:
20 JOHN LEWIS CHILDS, FLORAL PARK, N. Y. Choice plants for Winter gloomii^. The following plants are extra £ne for winter blooming, and are mostly new or recently introduced sorts that are not seen in general cultivation. We supply healthy, well-grown vigorous young stock that will be sure to do finely. All grown especially for winter blooming.
Text Appearing After Image:
Fifte pot Roses. The following are good winter bloomers. White, pink, yellow and scarlet. Strong pot grown plants. Si?71pi*°P of tho Wor,d-Splendid pink; very free. EfJ-f £ V.yon-Superb golden yellow. Mane CuMlot-pure snow white. Queen's Scarlet—intense scarlet. J5C each; the U for 50c. The Greatest Pot Bloomer of all Fine Roses. This is the greatest Eose Novelty in years, owing both to its beauty and unparalleled bloom- ing qualities. It is a Tea Kose of remarkably strong and vigorous growth and a prodigious ! bloomer all the year. It flowers all the time, par- ticularly during winter, hence its name. The blossoms are borne on long graceful stems, are of large size and a lovely crimson-piuk color. Buds perfectly exquisite and the open flower full and double. It is the strongest, hardiest, most vigorous and rapid growing Tea Eose in cultiva- tion. One plant of it will produce more good Eoses in the year than 12 plants of any other Tea Eose grown. This is saying a good deal, but it is true. The plant will bloom continually, and nothing but killing it outright will check it. The blossoms are singularly beautiful in shape, color and poise, and most deliciously scented. More fragrant than any other Tea Eose. It is so strong and vigorous that it never mildews, and is a rapid grower, blooming at once from small cuttings. The great- est Eose for amateurs and one that will positively bloom prodigiously in any window at all times of year. Strong, well established plants, grown especially for winter bloom- ing, and ready to bloom at once, 25c. each; 5 for si.oo. M^ltiflora Roses front Seed. Rosa Polyantha Multifiora. With seed of these new Eoses plants may be had in bloom in 60 to 90 days from time of sowing. Plant at any time. They grow quickly and flowers appear in large clusters, and in such quantity that a plant looks like bouquet. Prom a packet of seed one will get Eoses of various colors—white, pink, cream, etc., —no two alike and mostly perfectly dou- ble and very sweet, Pkt. 15c.
