14 HARDY PERENNIALS FROM SEED *hese are all hardy plants which, live in the garden year after year, blooming every spring or summer withlittle or no care. Sown in late summer or fall they bloom finely next season. Aster Alpina. One of the most charming hardy perennial plants wehave ever seen. Its flowers are borne in profusion early inspring, and are the size of a large wild Daisy, about threeinches across, composed of a double row of intensely bluepetals surrounding a golden yellow center. It is double thesize of any other hardy Aster and closely resembles a largeParis Daisy in shape and general appearance. Anotherimportant point is its extreme earliness, beginning to bloomusually in May. Mixed—Blue, white, and several fine colors. Pkt 5c, Aquilegia or Columbine. One of the best of the early summer perennials. Curiousflowers, extremely graceful, and borne in great quantitieshigh above the foliage which itself is very beautiful and at-tractive. Extra fine for cutting. Friije Mixture
