You must have a strong cord with a peg atone end—nothing is better than a garden-line, becauseit is all ready and you can wind and unwind it so con-veniently ; besides both the peg at the end and the HOW TO MAKE A RIGHT ANGLE. winder have nice points to go into the ground. Firstyou stick the end peg into the point where the middleof the new path has to leave the old one—marked Ain the diagram. Then from A you mark any length(but say about five yards) along the edge of the oldpath to B. Then you hold the line so that you knowexactly the length from A to B, and you carry it pastA to C. You mark both the points B and C with alittle wooden peg. Then you pull up the end line-pegfrom A and drive it in at B. Then you let out the line
