Child's short gown of purple and red cotton with geometric print with white cotton lining, hand stitched with light blue thread; casing (1/2" wide) at neck and waist has (1/2" wide) selvedge edge fabric strip ties of red and brown cotton print; sleeves are lined and lining of bodice extends 4" down; sleeves are stroked gathered at armhole and into 3/8" w/ cuff, large iron hook on each cuff with thread hoops, small under arm gussets finished with flat felled seams give fullness to bodice; Condition: right cuff torn and lining of sleeve stained, left cuff torn at thread hoops, small holes left and right on front lining casing, lining pulled loose center left back, brown stain center back lining, small holes in both backs of sleeves in dark purple printed areas
