Эти мемориальные доски расположены на Мейн-стрит (западной) стороне тропы Чиф-Пеги, которая проходит от Мейн-стрит через мост Килдонан-Сеттлерс до шоссе Хендерсон. Тропа была официально открыта 1 ноября 1991 года и посвящена вождю Пеги , лидеру оджибва (солто) и другу поселенцев Килдонана. На второй мемориальной доске изображен его тотем или символы, а на третьей — его жизнь.
English: Historic Sites of Manitoba: Chief Peguis Trail, Peguis’ Totem and Chief Peguis Plaques (Chief Peguis Trail, Winnipeg)
These plaques are located on the Main Street (west) side of the Chief Peguis Trail which runs from Main Street over the Kildonan Settlers Bridge to Henderson Highway. The Trail was officially opened 01 November 1991 and honours Chief Peguis, Ojibwa (Saulteaux) leader and friend of the Kildonan Settlers. A second plaque outlines his totem or symbols and a third outlines his life. |
