| Description | Quick trip to England? No, this is just Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST), one of Mumbai's big train stations where local trains as well as long-distance trains arrive and leave. Foreigners can get train tickets here at a special counter (tourist-quota counter 52) so that they don't have to purchase them 90 days in advance as you would have to do if you purchase them online or at the regular counters. The price does not differ. My guidebook said you can only purchase tickets 24 hours before you want to travel, but I could buy my ticket earlier (I was there two days prior). Maybe it worked because I paid in foreign currency and not Rupees. I think there are some restrictions when paying in Rupees. - Habe ich einen Abstecher nach England gemacht? Mein Reisef¸hrer sagte, dass man Tickets nur 24 Stunden vor Abreise erwerben kann, aber das stimmte nicht. Ich war 2 Tage vorher da und bekam mein Ticket problemlos. Vielleicht ging es, weil ich in Euro und nicht Rupien bezahlte. Ich glaube, dass bei letzteren ein paar mehr Einschr‰nkungen sind. |
