Description
English: Chew Valley Lake This is a large reservoir in the Chew Valley and the 5th largest artificial lake in the U.K. covering an area of 1,200 acres. It was created in the early 1950s and opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1956, and provides most of the drinking water for Bristol and the surrounding area.
