| Description |
English: Chester Infirmary Chester Infirmary was originally opened in 1761 when it took over from the charitable hospital located at the Blue Coat School, Northgate Street. This fine brick building standing high above the flood plain of the Dee remained the main hospital for Chester until 1996 when it closed and all of its functions were taken over by the Countess of Chester Hospital. It acquired the prefix "Royal" to its name in1913. |
