| Description |
English: Chesil Beach View from near the top of the beach down the seaward face on to one of the wave cut benches or "wracks". The dark patch is a soaking wet patch approximately 3m X 2m on the flat platform of the wrack. The stick at the lefthand end of the patch is 1m high. The wet patch is approximately 8m above sea level and approx 30m in horizontal distance from the water. All the other pebbles on the beach were completely dry except those within 2m of the waterline. There had been no rain. The cloud was thin and high and no rain fell until 4hours later and then only a few drops. There were no people, buildings or any human activity within 300m. The sea was calm and gentle with a wave height of about 1m max. |
