Summary

[edit]
Description

Steam In The Met in 2000 saw Met No.1 and two of the restored Chesham Set Metropolitan Railway carriages being placed in the bay platform at Rickmansworth station. Part of the reason for this was to showcase their renovation and to help in the quest to raise more funds to complete the restoration of the other two Chesham Set carriages.

The track for the bay platform has now been disconnected - this was done as part of the resignalling and automated train control project of the late 2010s / early 2020s.

Also seen in this image is a northbound Network SouthEast (Chiltern route) Class 165 diesel train.
