Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Shortly after World War II, the C&O Railroad modified several 4-6-2 "Pacific" type steam locomotives for use on a new luxury passenger line, creating a streamlined 4-6-4 "Hudson". However, declining passenger revenue forced C&O to change its plans, and the Hudsons were instead used for regular passenger service until 1953. C&O No. 490 was built in 1926 and modified by C&O in 1946. At the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Museum in Baltimore, Maryland.
