Description
English: One of only two surviving examples of this class - this one is on display at the Henry Ford Museum. These locomotives have a 2-6-6-6 wheel arrangement and made up to 7,500 horsepower. They locomotives could be compared to the Union Pacific's 'Big Boy' locomotives. The Allegheny locomotives were used by the Chesapeake and Ohio from the early 1940s to the mid '50s.
