Description Cherry blossom branches obscure the business end of the plinthed steam locomotive outside the Saga-Arashiyama station in the suburb of Arashiyama in Kyoto, Japan. The ubiquitous D51 was a class of heave 2-8-2 freight locomotive and was built in numbers. Members of this class were also used in the USSR, Korea and Taiwan. Notes about the D51 class appeared earlier in this album. (see previous picture). (Kyoto, Japan, Apr/ May 2019)
