The floor plan of a Kakatiya era Hindu temple

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Chennakesava temple of Pillalamarri was completed about 12th to 13th century CE.
  • Above is the floor plan of the entire temple in SVG format (the JPEG version is also available on wikimedia commons)
  • Follows the square and circle principle of Hindu architecture found in historic Sanskrit texts
  • This relative scale and dimensions in this architectural drawing are close to the actual temple; however, some intricate details are not shown for clarity and it shows close approximations where exact measurements were not feasible.
