Description
English: This image shows the head office of the Wismut GmbH in Chemnitz. Its principal business is the decommissioning, cleanup, and rehabilitation of uranium mining and processing sites. The company was the world third biggest uranium mining company from 1946 to 1990.
Deutsch: Das Bild zeigt die Unternehmenszentrale der Wismut GmbH in Chemnitz. Die Wismut war von 1946 bis 1990 der weltweit drittgrößte Uranproduzent. Seit 1990 verwahrt, saniert und rekultiviert die Firma die Hinterlassenschaften des Uranbergbaus in Sachsen und Thüringen.
