...Cette dernière disposition existe encore dans une maison normande, du XII^e siècle, de la ville de Lincoln en Angleterre, dite maison du Juif. Elle présente trop d'intérêt pour que nous ne la donnions pas ici (4). La cheminée chauffe la salle principale au premier étage, et le contre-cœur A ainsi que le tuyau qui le surmonte portent entièrement sur un arc posé sur deux corbeaux formant un abri au-dessus de la porte d'entrée B sur la rue...
