Description
English: A sergeant with 2nd Squadron, 38th Cavalry Regiment is inspected a final time before being hoisted in the air by a hovering UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter as part of the SPIES/FRIES training at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo, July 18, 2014. The fast-rope insertion and extraction system (FRIES) is employed by small units to make rapid infiltration and exfiltration using rotary-wing aircraft in confined areas.
