Description
English: Cheadle Catholic Church. Charles Street, Cheadle, Staffordshire. This is the "west" door. Like 224412 this church is dedicated to Saint Giles. It is a splendid piece of Gothick Revival architecture by Augustus Welby Pugin http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Augustus_Pugin opened and consecrated on September 1st, 1846. Erected at the sole expense of the Earl of Shrewsbury http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/STS/Cheadle/index.html .
