Description

Chavin (Indre)

Viaduc de Chavin

La ligne ferroviaire d'Argenton-sur-Creuse à La Chaussée passait par le territoire communal, une gare desservait la commune. La ligne est inaugurée, le 18 octobre 1903. Le service voyageurs est arrêté en 1939, 36 ans après l'ouverture de la ligne. Le dernier train de marchandises y circule en 1952.

Cette gare a été utilisée pour l'arrivée des matériaux de construction du barrage d'Éguzon.
