Description

Chaumont-sur-Loire (Loir-et-Cher)

Eglise Saint-Nicolas.

L'ancienne église, située près du château, ayant été détruite à la fin du 19ème siècle, l'église actuelle fut construite, avec le presbytère, en 1883, au bord de la Loire. Oeuvre de l'architecte Paul-Ernest Sanson, elle fut consacrée en 1898. Paul-Ernest Sanson (1836-1918), architecte parisien, a effectué les travaux de restauration du château de Chaumont en 1878. Tout au long de sa carrière, il construira de nombreux hôtels particuliers à Paris.
