Summary

[edit]
Description

‪ Church of St. John Baptist de Chaumont-en-Vexin ‬.

The portal of Robert Grappin has similarity with that of Gisors.

The external arc protects a series of small niches with pedestals and flamboyant canopy that contain 8 figures in which the apostles are recognized.

Both ends of the statuettes are standing. The right one with the beard is probably St. Paul. The left holding a bludgeon and a book, Saint-Jacques-le-Mineur.

For other statues, seated, left to right: St. Bartholomew with a book and a cutlass, Saint-Jacques-le-Majeur with an open book and a pilgrim's staff, St. Philip with an open book and a Latin cross Saint-Mathies or St. Barnabas with an open book and a halberd, Saint ... attributes have disappeared, perhaps Saint-Mathieu on the knee with an open book or a stone.
