Description

Fort Amherst defends Chatham Dockyard in Kent. It is the home of Medway Historical Ordnance. 25 pounder field gun. This one was manufactured in Canada in 1942. Originally painted in desert colours but repainted in green for Northern Europe. It reqired a crew of 6 men, and with a maximum elevation of 55 degrees it had a range of 12.253 km.
