The Pueblo Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant Charlie Crew lab technicians smile for a photograph. On a typical day, they calibrate equipment prior to the arrival of Depot Area Air Monitoring System (DAAMS) tubes. This calibration is verified prior to analysis by challenging the instrument with intentionally dosed agent samples or “spiked” samples. DAAMS tubes that have operated in the field for 12 hours are retrieved by PCAPP monitoring technicians and delivered to the lab for analysis. A portion of this photograph has been blurred in accordance with Department of Defense guidelines.
