Description

A photo with North Charleston Mayor Keith Summey, Charleston County School District Superintendent of Education Dr. Nancy McGinley, and race organizers. Charleston Marathon presented $100,000 in race proceeds to Youth Endowment for the Arts.

The donation to the YEA funds grants to Charleston County schools for arts projects that increase academic achievement in students through the development of artistic skill and participation in the arts.

The Youth Endowment for the Arts (YEA) was founded in 2000 as a brand new way to enhance the educational experience of children in the Lowcountry of South Carolina. YEA works to support equitable, quality fine arts programming for Charleston Area Children.
