Description
English: Silver shilling, Charles I, mint mark illegible but issued late 1630s to early 1640s, information from the British Museums coin department. The coin has an overall copper appearance but no other copper items were found in the immediate vicinity of this coin. The reason for the square hole in the coin is not known.
