Dear Mr. Dana.
A meeting of the Directors of the Emigration Soc., of which I am accidentally Secretary, has been called for an important object tomorrow evng. My duties there will prevent my having the pleasure of joining your circle. If I should be able, I will take the liberty of calling [p. 2] at the close of the evng.
