My dear Sir,
My young friend Lieut. Longfellow, of the 1st Mass. Calvary, may have occasion for some aid or counsel in reaching his regiment or in finding his horses, which have been at pasture during his [p. 2] invalid furlough. Should this be the case I trust to your good offices in his behalf.
