Transcript InfoField | Fischerpfortchen. This is one of the few relics which serve to remind the visitor to Worms of the great antiquity of the town. In Roman times, Worms was known as Borbetomagus, and during the 3rd and 4th centuries it was the capital of the Burgundian Huns. Among other inte-resting historical events which have taken place in this town, was the Imperial Diet in April 1521, before which Martin Luther defended his opinions. |
