Le Blanckaert, à Woumen
C’est le dernier des grands étangs qui occupaient anciennement tous les creux des polders littoraux. Il est bordé de Phragmites communis et de Typha angustifolia (voir planche 70).
Dans l’eau, Scirpus lacustris, Nymphaea alba, etc.
Les Populus monilifera et les maisons, au delà de l’étang, ne sont pas sur les polders, mais sur le

sable flandrien ; l’altitude y est de 5 à 7 mètres.
