Végétation sur les alluvions vaseuses de l’Escaut, entre Tamise et Rupelmonde, à marée basse
En arrière, Phragmites communis et Scirpus lacustris en fleurs.
Plus bas, Scirpus lacustris, S. maritimus et S. triqueter qui sont complètement submergés à chaque marée haute et qui ne fleurissent jamais.
Scirpus lacustris et S. maritimus habitent les bords des rivières à marées, ainsi que les rivières sans marées, les canaux, les étangs et les fossés.
Le Scirpus triqueter est limité aux berges des rivières à marées, dans les portions où l’eau n’est pas saumâtre.
