Cette Graminacée vit exclusivement sur la plage, au pied des dunes, au-dessus de la laisse de marée haute.
Le sable s’accumule entre les tiges et les feuilles et forme de minuscules dunes.
Sur la plage, nombreuses flaques laissées par la marée.

Sur la laisse de marée haute, un pêcheur à cheval.
