A. Terriers de Lapins dans une dune, à Coxyde
Chaque terrier constitue un point faible qui facilite l’attaque de la dune par le vent. La stratification de la dune est visible. Les Ammophila ont été déracinés.
B. Terriers de Lapins dans une panne, à Coxyde
Les Lapins n’ont creusé que dans les petits monticules de sable ; ceux-ci sont fortement échancrés par le vent.
Sur ces dunes minuscules, il y a des Ammophila; dans la panne, il y a surtout des Salix repens. Toutes les herbes, sans cesse broutées par les Lapins, restent courtes.

La planche 35 montre une panne qui a été protégée contre la voracité des Lapins.
