Description
Français : Charleroi - Seuil de porte en mosaïque avec l'inscription "Au champion Pierre Charles". Situé à la ville basse de Charleroi, il fut découvert partiellement recouvert par de l'égaline par Michaël Sacchi. Le seuil fut restauré à l'aide des historiens Béatrice Garny et André Lierneux avec l'appui de l'échevinat du patrimoine de la ville et sa collaboratrice, Marie Wautelet, docteure en histoire de l'art. Pierre Charles (1903-1966) est un boxeur poids lourd qui a emporté quinze titres européens à partir de 1929. C'est à cet endroit qu'il exploitait une taverne et un hôtel.
