Français : Chapelle Saint Démet à Plozévet Deutsch: Die Kapelle des St. Démet liegt in einem kleinen Dorf in der Nähe des Plage de Penhors. Es war ein Zufluchtsort für die Überlebenden einer großen Schiffsunglücks während einer Seeschlacht in der Bucht von Audierne im Jahre 1797. Nach einer erfolglosen Invasion von Wales mit vier französischen Schiffen und zahlreichen Soldaten, wurde das französische Schiff MENSCHENRECHTE von zwei englischen Kriegsschiffen vernichtet. Tote, Sterbende und Überlebende wurden u.a. an die Plage de Penhors gespült. Die Kapelle selbst stammt aus dem sechzehnten Jahrhundert und ist nach dem Schutzpatron der Gemeinde Saint Démet benannt. |
